The album starts with Slim Shady shouting the line "I've created a monster", and that about sums it up. Asked for by exactly nobody, this genre bending mashup album was quite a long time in the making, but once it got steam it practically wrote itself. Yeah, I mean, I recognize the cross section of people that like both Eminem and Nine Inch Nails is probably in the tens, but for some reason it seemed to work for me. They both have this angsty pissed off yet sometimes goofy vibe that just gelled the tracks together. Production-wise, I set a limitation for myself to use only sounds from Nine Inch Nails tracks, which turned out to be fairly challenging yet fun. Definitely provided a chance to deep dive into the NIN catalog - Ghosts was especially helpful for drum and synth loops.
